FESTIVAL ITALIANO di Danze, Musica e Culture Nomadi

Nomad Dance Fest ® è il primo Festival Italiano di Danze, Musica e Culture Nomadi dal Mondo che si ispira alla “Gipsy Route” la via dei gitani che è stata percorsa dalle popolazioni nomadi più di 600 anni fa partendo dall’India, dal deserto dei Thar, attraverso la Persia, la Turchia, l’Egitto, il Marocco , i Balcani in particolare nel Sud della Francia, fino al Mediterraneo, Creta, Grecia, l’Andalusia in Spagna e alcune parti del Sud Italia.
Un festival dedicato alle musiche e alle culture migranti, alle tradizioni in movimento della via dei gitani in modo universale e solidale perché è il tempo di recuperare tradizioni antiche che ci fanno ritornare alle nostre origini.
Un progetto che vuole produrre danza, musica e cultura in modo solidale, attento ad essere Eco sostenibile e proponendo eventi , artisti, musica autentica ed aziende che rispettino il nostro pianeta.
L’intento del Festival è quello di riscoprire tradizioni e culture dei popoli nomadi , che hanno dato le origini a tutte le culture , la musica e le danze antiche: una kermesse di suoni, colori e sapori per scoprire le radici di tutte le danze folk e le tradizioni nomadi che sono giunte fino a noi. Un weekend ricco e interattivo che si articola in workshops di danza, eventi, performance a tema, mostre d’arte e di pittura , artigianato locale e internazionale.
Nella HALL SOUK una parte espositiva sarà riservata alle scuole di danza, agli operatori del settore turistico, agli artigiani di arredamento, abbigliamento, oggetti etnici in modo da offrire un ventaglio molto ampio di proposte.
Nel corso del Festival saranno proposte Danze Indiane classiche e di fusione come la Bollywood, danze folk e tradizionali della Gipsy Route, Danze Gipsy del Rajasthan e Kalbeliya, danze orientali e del ventre, danze persiane, afghane e greche, flamenco e danze e musiche del Sud Italia. Sono attesi artisti da tutt’Italia e dalle aree della Gipsy Route che si esibiranno sul palco del Nomad Dance Fest ®.
Fulcro della manifestazione il Nomad Bazaar che ricreerà un vero SOUK con tanto di tende berbere, odalische che servono thè alla menta con dolci arabi e dove si potrà assistere a performance di danza, musica, sfilate di abiti gipsy e gustarsi gli etnici e gustosi Nomad Happy hour dalle 19.30. Previsto anche il concorso fotografico “NOMADISMI”.
Direttrice artistica del Nomad Dance Fest ® è Monica Maya Devi, membro dell'International Dance Council CID UNESCO, organizzazione mondiale della danza, danzatrice ed insegnante di Danze Nomadi e Indiane, Maestra di Yoga e Tantrismo, ricercatrice spirituale e fondatrice della scuola di danza e yoga Mudrarte di Milano.Il progetto sarà sviluppato in collaborazione con scuole italiane ed internazionali di danze e culture nomadi.
La prima rassegna NOMAD DANCE FEST è stata presentata a DANZA IN FIERA a Firenze dal 24 al 27 Febbraio 2011. Lo spettacolo NOMAD DANCE FEST è stato incluso nel GALA SHOW di Danza in Fiera insieme ad artisti internazionali della Danza.

Nomad Dance Fest ® is the first Italian festival of dance and culture of the nomads' GIPSY ROUTE which was crossed by nomads over 600 years ago starting from India through Persia, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco to the Balkans and the Mediterranean sea arriving in Andalusia.
The aim of the festival is to rediscover traditions and cultures of nomadic peoples, where the roots of all the folk dances have their origins.
A festival that will be an annual appointment in Milan and that will be traveling throughout Italy and Europe reaching across the border all the nations included in the way of the gypsies.
We believe this is the time to discover ancient traditions that make us return to our origins, our roots, just so we could return to love Mother Earth. It 's the time to unite and return to the nature.
In fact, the festival will be careful to be environmentally sustainable and bring events and companies that respect our planet.
The festival will be structured in a weekend full of dances, workshops, performances, events, talent shows, themed conferences, art exhibitions and painting, crafts, bazaar with the participation of Italian and international artists that will promote the dances of the Gipsy route .
It will also be given the opportunity to dance schools to promote their business by renting a booth or desk and commercial activities related to ethnic world to advertise their products.
The project Nomad Dance Fest ® is created and managed by Maya Devi: Artistic Director, dancer and teacher of Indian Nomad and Folk dances, spiritual researcher and founder of the school of dance and yoga MUDRARTE Milano.Maya is a member of 'International Dance Council CID UNESCO, World Organization of the dance.
The project will be developed in collaboration with Italian and international dance schools and researcher of nomadic cultures.
The first edition of NOMAD DANCE DANCE was presented in Florence at the DANZAINFIERA fair in February 2011. The show NOMAD DANCE FEST GALA was included in the dance show at the Fair along with international dance artists.
